1830- Worcester vs. Georgia

1836- Trail of Tears
South Carolina was outraged out about the tariff along with the rest of the south. Jackson offered a small reduction but the south denied and threatened to secede. until henry clay offered a compromise tto reduce tariffs for 10 years.

in this case, georgia sued a missionary by the name samuel adams for him going in native american territory because georgia had a law that no non-native american person could live on their land.

the trail of tears was were Jackson had forced the cherokee out of their own area to the other side of mississippi. on this trip 1/4 of the cherokee died.
