  • here, comrades, is the answer to all our problems. It is summed up in a single word — Man. Man is the only real enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished for ever.

  • THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. No animal shall wear clothes. No animal shall sleep in a bed. No animal shall drink alcohol. No animal shall kill any other animal. All animals are equal.
  • the pigs had succeeded in reducing the principles of Animalism to Seven Commandments. These Seven Commandments would now be inscribed on the wall; they would form an unalterable law by which all the animals on AnimalFarm must live for ever after
  • The pigs did not actually work, but directed and supervised the others. With their superior knowledge it was natural that they should assume the leadership.
  • WORK HARDER, COMRADES
  • This symbolizes the russians rallying after the russian revolution. They sing "Beasts of England" which stands for the russian "Internationale".
  • There was much discussion as to what the battle should be called. In the end, it was named the Battle of the Cowshed, since that was where the ambush had been sprung.
  • The Soviet laws were set by those in power and were seen as sacred
  • The animals formed themselves into two factions under the slogan, "Vote for Snowball and the three-day week" and "Vote for Napoleon and the full manger."
  • VOTE SNOWBALL AND THE THREE DAY WEEK
  • The Leaders of the soviets did no labor but instead let the other classes do it all.
  • Nine enormous dogs wearing brass-studded collars came bounding into the barn. They dashed straight for Snowball, who only sprang from his place just in time to escape their snapping jaws...slipped through a hole in the hedge and was seen no more.
  • The Soviets fought bravely for their land during World War II, when they defended it in the battle of Stalingrad
  • Stalin and Trotsky competed with each other for the leadership of the USSR
  • VOTE NAPOLEON AND THE FULL MANGER
  • Stalin chased Trotsky out of the country, where he was later assassinated
