This storyboard describes my journey, a journey that as a 15 year old I will soon be embarking on, towards becoming a fully licensed driver.
1 Month before my 16th birthday, my mother and I drive down to the ICBC in Richmond near my home to pick up a book on learning to drive.
For the next month, I read the book on learning to drive and take practice tests online, preparing myself for the day I get to take my 'L' test.
1 week after my 16th birthday, I decide I'm finally ready to take the test! I know that line ups at the ICBC will be long and I bring along my learning to drive book so I can study.
I pass my test with flying colours and proceed to practice driving for the next 12 months, ALWAYS with a fully licensed adult present, becoming the best driver I can be.
After 12 months have passed, I feel confident in my ability to be a safe driver and I take my 'N' test. I pass! I am 17 now, and allowed to drive on my own with one passenger (with the exception of family members) as long as I display my 'N' on the back of my car.
Always stay safe on the road!
Finally, after 2 more years of safe driving, I am 19 years of age. I take a class 5 road test (as opposed to the class 7 road test I took when I got my 'N') and I pass! I am now a fully licensed driver with the freedom to drive where I wish... as long as I stick to the rules of the road!
