We have won!!
Settlers head west, they debate over expanding slavery into newly added states. So a Compromise is needed to settle the debate.
Slavery must be Stopped!
After much debate, The Missouri Compromise of 1820 passes. The compromise calls for the initiation of Missouri as a slave state, and Maine as a free state, which blance in Congress. Missouri Compromise was written by Henry Clay.
