Two beheadings out of six wives is too many
King Henry VIII was the king of England and he was one of the most famous kings in English history. He has six wives, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr.
King Henry wanted to get a divorce in 1533 with his first wife Catherine of Aragon as she could not produce a male heir.
The Catholic Church would not allow this to happen, so Henry decided to split away from the church and build his own church, the Church of England so he could get a divorce.
When the Church was built, King Henry VIII made himself head of the church and got a divorce with Catherine of Aragon so he could marry Anne Boleyn.
Unfortunately, Anne also could not produce a male heir so, she got executed. He then got married four more times.
When Henry died, his place was taken over by his daughter Mary.
