Storyboard Text

  • Coming mom!
  • Tyler was playing outside when his mom called him in for dinner.
  • Tyler! Dinner's Ready!
  • On his way home, Tyler tripped while running and scraped his arm.
  • What did I tell you about running around with your shoe laces untied?!
  • Oww... I hurt my arm.
  • Well great. Let's get you cleaned up for dinner.
  • It's bleeding!!!!
  • What Tyler didn't know was that his receptors had already sent input along the afferent pathway to the control center, his brain, to determine the correct response to his cut.
  • Come on, let's get that bandaged up.
  • It's still bleeding!
  • Then the information follows the efferent pathway to effectors which provides the means to respond.
  • Don't worry, I'm almost  done. Your body will take care of the rest
  • First Aid
  • Because of your bodies use of positive feedback your cut will become a scar due to the response being enhanced from the original stimulus.
  • The end.
  • Okay...
