  • The Bastille was attacked by the Third Estate on Tuesday 14th July 1789!!! The Third Estate looked mad!!!  
  • In the morning of July 14th, at least 40.000 people appeared in front of the Invalides to take weapons by the strength. The rioting demonstrators forced the passage and seized at least 30.000 guns. At 10 am, the Parisian were armed but had no ammunition. They were told that there was some in the Bastille...
  • The riots attacked the Bastille. They snapped up balls and powder. Expecting to find a lot of people, they were surprised to find only 7 prisoners!!! Despite the guarantees given to him, the governor of the Bastille, Bernard Launay, was massacred by the crowd. Ignoring the fall of the Bastille, and wanting to calm things down, Louis XVI gave, at the end of the day, the order to evacuate the regiments which camped in the capital. It is only on the rise of July 15th that he understood it was more than just a revolt.  He would have asked:  "C'est une révolte?"" It is a revolt? "  The Duke of The Rochefoucauld would have answered him:  "Non Sir. Une révolution " No, Majesty. A Revolution. "

  • On the 20th of June 1791, Prince Charming and Cinderella decided to run away in Austria where they could live with Cinderella's stepsisters; and they decided they would come back when the situation in France would be better.

  • But they got captured in Varennes... because the carriage could only be a carriage before midnight and same for the rest. :)
