- Good Game out there!
- That will be $6.00 for each ice cream cone
- Or you could get another cone and get $.50 off
- Thanks for the ice cream!
- WE SHOULD USE PROPORTIONS TO FIND OUT!
- That will be $6.00 for each ice cream cone
- How will we know which one is better?
- Or you could get another cone and get $.50 off
- We must find the unit rate of each of these prices.
- WE SHOULD USE PROPORTIONS TO FIND OUT!
- How will we know which one is better?
- Well, to find unit rate you have to put price over amount of the item.
- Now you just divide 17.50 by 3 and get the unit rate which would be $5.90!
- We must find the unit rate of each of these prices We already know the unit rate for a single ice cream cone = $6.00.
- Well, to find unit rate you have to put price over amount of the item So we would have to multiply 3 and 6, which would be $18.00, With the discount it would be $17.50.
- So 3 cones would be the better deal, because each would cost about $5.90.
- So, we will buy a 3rd cone and give it to you.
- Thanks!
