  • Today we will be talking about Cobalamin, also known as Vitamin B12.
  • B12 keeps nerves and blood cells healthy, and it helps make DNA. It can prevent megoplastic anemia which causes you to be tired and weak. 
  • How much does an average human need? 
  • Adults and teenagers need 2.4-2.8 mcg while kids need 0.4-1.8mcg
  • Vitamin B12 is found in Beef liver, clams, dairy products such as milk, eggs, and cheese, fish, meat, and some fortified, processed food.

  • What happens if you get too much, or not enough?
  • If you don't get enough, it can cause anemia, fatigue, and poor balance. 
  • If you get too much, it can cause heart disease or rapidly increase energy!
  •  B12 works with essential water soluble vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6.
