Trigonometry Scavenger Hunt
This storyboard does not have a description.
Wanna go on a math scavenger hunt? I already have it set up!
So what we have to do is use right triangles and SOHCAHTOA. First we need to draw a right triangle and mark the sides we know; since sin is o/h we know that √3 is opposite of the inside angle and that 2 is the hypotenuse.
Next we need to use the Pythagorean theory and solve for the adjacent side. You should get 1. Now, we know that cos is a/h so the solution is 1/2!
Here is our first problem! cos(sin^-1(√3/2)
We need to start by drawing a triangle and labeling the sides. Next we need to solve for angle A. sin16/14=sinA/7 7sin16/14=sinA A=7.9° For angle C all you need to do is 180-16-7.9 and you get 156.1°For side c, sin16/14=sin156.1/c 14sin156.1/sin16=sinc c=20.6
Here is our next problem! Looks like a law of sins one! Solve for the triangle: a=7, b=16°,b=14
