Storyboard Text

  • New Year's Eve, 487 AD; A green knight enters the court of King Arthur as they prepare for a feast
  • HAHAHA! I WAS TOLD ARTHUR HAD THE BRAVEST KNIGHTS AROUND
  • I come to you on this Eve of the New Year with a challenge. I will give you one free swing at me if I can return the deed to you if I still stand
  • King Arthur goes to accept the knight's challenge but is stopped short by Sir Gawain
  • NO SIR! If you will let me, I wish to take this challenge upon myself, as I am the weakest
  • I will accept your challenge, as I the King...
  • Gawain swings at the knight with all of his power, yet the knight still stands
  • Make sure you come see me in a years time, otherwise, you will be seen as a coward
  • WHAT!! HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD!
  • After a long journey, Gawain finds a castle a few days before New Years's Eve
  • All I ask is that you return to me whatever you are given at the end of each day
  • Why don't you stay here for a few days? You can rest before the big day
  • Three Days Later
  • Thank you so much for letting me rest here, and I'm sure you will be happy that I gave everything back
  • I just hope that you didn't accidentally leave anything out
  • Gawain arrives at the Green Knight's lair to hold up his part of the challenge. The Green Knight takes his swing and nicks the neck of Gawain
  • TAKE ANOTHER SWING!
  • No, you have held up your part of the deal. Plus, I'm the lord of that castle
