  • For the beginning of the book “ Tangerine “ by author Edward Bloor, we begin with our protagonist Paul Fisher and his home in Houston,TX. Him and his mom are about to leave their home to go to a town in Florida called Tangerine. Where his Dad got a new job for Civil Engineering. Right when they were about to leave Paul has a flashback about how someone in a black car almost killed him with a baseball bat when he missed and smashed their mailbox while Paul was riding his bike and remembering him running back inside and blaming it on his older brother Erik. Who denied that he had anything to do with what just happened. While we don’t know much about Erik yet, in conclusion this book begins little rough.
  • Climax
  • As the plot progresses, after Paul and his Mom move from Houston to Tangerine, Paul gets enrolled at the local school there, Lake Windsor Downs. Him being a soccer player tries to get on the soccer team. But with his IEP in place, he can’t join because of his legal blindness. And if he did join the soccer team would lose their insurance. Furthermore, one of Paul’s new friends at Tangerine, Joey his older brother Mike plays on the High School Football Team with Erik. Gets struck by a bolt of lightning in the middle of practice and dies. His transition into this new life at Tangerine has been pretty rough, so far in conclusion.
  • Falling Action
  • With the rise of the plot and the death of Mike with Paul kicked off the soccer team, things only escalate from here. One stormy at Lake Windsor Downs as Paul and Joey were dodging the rain as they ran to their next class. When suddenly a sinkhole opens up from the ground and begins to suck everybody in as the earth begins collapsing all around Paul. He escapes from the sinkhole, but sees others in pearl and rushes to go help them. After helping a class escape from the wooden portables that they were in. He then hops on a bus and goes home. It is later revealed that the Director of Civil Engineering, Old Charley Burns didn’t send the right inspectors in to check the ground on which Lake Windsor Middle was built on, as such he gets fired from civil engineering and gets replaced by Dad, whom has to fix everything Old Charley messed up. Paul later then gets moved to Tangerine Middle, where Mom removes his IEP and he is able to play on the soccer team. Erik stays at Lake Windsor Middle with his newfound friend Arthur Bauer. With tensions rising and disasters striking the plot only goes for the worst at this point in the book.
  • Resoultion
  • Your son is under arrest.
  • At the height of Tangerine’s plot tensions between Erik and the rest of Paul’s friends goes bezerk, and usually ends up with somebody getting in a fight with Erik. Paul also ends up joining the Tangerine Middle School soccer team where he and the rest of them go on a winning streak and eventually winning the whole season for the county soccer, Erik is also doing extremely well with football, but after he beat up one of Paul’s friends, his older brother confronts him and ends up getting whacked on the head and dying as a result a week later, towards the end of the climax, there has been a string of robberies toward the end of the climax which involve someone breaking into tented houses and stealing valuables inside of those houses. With victories all around, but yet robberies being conducted all around Tangerine, the end is still not in sight for Paul yet, in conclusion.
  • Are you ok?!
  •     The degression of the plot begins with two people Paul knew slightly well, dead and a criminal on the rise with the robbing of the houses. Things are extremely tense now in Tangerine, however one night the school was holding a small ceremony for Mike Costello when Luis’s younger brother Tino and his friend Victor walk over to Erik and beat him up, Arthur tries to go and defend him but fails, and the situation ends up with one of the boys escaping and Paul basically being interrogated on what had just happened. But as the other kid was trying to escape the man who was grabbing Paul, let go of him and he dashed into the night and ran back home. Later, Erik and Arthur attempt to murder Paul, but he ends up scaring both of them off. However, things are in the clear yet for Erik and Arthur for as the truth approaches for them, Paul might finally get his revenge.
  • I saw you kill Luis.
  • As the story is seeing it’s horizon for the end and, after all of the craziness that had occurred last night, Mom happened to find the bag where Erik and Arthur were keeping all of their jewelry, a U.S Army gas mask and a blackjack. From their they ended up at a meeting convicting Erik and Arthur of robberies. However, Dad somehow created a legal situation where if the people who got their stuff stolen wouldn’t get their stuff back unless they agreed not to pursue charges upon Erik and Arthur. However, as the meeting was breaking up Joey told the cops about what happened with Luis, and they then arrested him with first degree homicide, Paul then chimed in and told the cops about how Erik ordered him to attack Luis. They both ended up getting arrested and charged with murder. Due to this however, both of the brothers got expelled from all schools in Tangerine. The story concludes with Paul relocating to a private Catholic school and driving their on his first day will he looks at the tree they dedicated to Mike Costello. With these final actions we can see the story reaching its ending.
