Teenagers often give information about themselves online that they shouldn't. This information can both endanger themselves and family members.
This is the case for Francesca Norris. She decided to turn Snapchat maps on, and unknowingly to her, gave her address to everyone on her Snapchat friends list.
One day, she got a text from a phone number she didn't recognize. It was a picture of her house.
Francesca decided to tell her mom about the strange text message. The phone number continued sending messages, and when she blocked one phone number it moved on to a different one. She couldn't escape the harassment.
No matter what she did, the phone number kept harassing her with pictures of her house. The phone number also sent her pictures of her friends houses, and her family members' personal information.
This could have all been avoided if she had taken precautions and practiced digital etiquette.
