Thank you so much for coming today. I have a problem that none of my employees can solve. If you solve it then you get a free goldfish. DEAL.
Our pet store had x goldfish at the beginning of the month. On the first week we sold 10 goldfish. On the second week, we sold 1/2of the remaining goldfish. On third week 4 goldfish were returned. So how many goldfish were at the beginning if there were 10 left after week 3.
First let me tell you the problem
So here is the plan
First step: simplify x-6-1/2(x-10) = 10 Second step: Multiply both sides by 2 2x-12-(x-10) = 20 Step 3: Simplify 2x-12-x+10 = 20 Step 4: further simplification x-2 = 20 Step 5: Solving for x X = 22
Hi there again. So lets try solving this with an equation. lets see if this equation works. x-10-1/2 (x-10)+4= 10
