Simply because we were licked 100 years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win
This is Atticus saying if he didn't defend Tom Robinson he'd be a hypocrite instead of doing what's right and he can't live without being honest to himself.
You just hold your head high and keep your fists down.
Atticus says this after Scout embarrassing Walter at the dinner table and means you can't judge someone until you've been through what they've been through so I put the part where Scout is in Boo's view.
When a child asks you something, answer it.
This is relating to how he knows he is going to lose this case but he still as to try his best to win so the scene is everyone vs Atticus
Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit em', but remember, it's a sin to kill a mockingbird
This is Atticus telling Scout to push through things when people call him names and try not to fight people by letting them get to you so this is when Scout and Francis are talking
It's better to tell a kid the truth than lie to them. Kids need to know things sooner or later also this is the scene with Uncle Jack and Scout talking because the saying relates to him.
I put the closest thing that looked like a mockingbird to represent it. Mockingbirds do not have green and blue heads but are grey and white but i put this scene in the yard again to show the mockingbird and I could've put Scout or Jem in it shooting a gun but the point is made its a sin to kill something that doesn't hurt you.
