  • Mary Jackson was a civil rights leader and activist. She was born April 9th 1921 and died February 11th 2005. Mary Jackson was the first African American women to work for the engineering department for NASA.
  • Mary Jackson was know as the "human-computer" for NACA and later became the first ever black female engineer at NASA. She was not only a engineer but she was an inspiration for women to advance their carrers.
