  • We are going to WIN
  • no we are!
  • Hmmm... OH I KNOW!! A Trojan horse!
  • Don't worry Troy, we'll be back.
  • For a long ten years, the battle between Greece and Troy raged on. Odesseus, the leader of the Greeks wanted the war to end with a victory. So he thought long and hard about how.
  • Yay! We have won!
  • Yay, but whats is that thing?
  • Odysseus was struck by the idea of a gift! Odysseus would give the Trojans a huge wooden horse. This horse will have a hollow belly so the Greek fighting force would come out that night, and finally win and take over Troy.
  • I'm so happy we won!
  • Then that morning the Greeks, sailed out of Troy and left a special surprise for the Trojans. They left a wooden horse behind as a tribute to their victors.
  • we will win!
  • OH NO!!
  • Then, two of the Trojans noticed that the Greeks were sailing away! They had won! The Trojans were overjoyed because there land was once theirs again. But then they were really confused because they left the weird wooden horse behind. King Priam felt like this horse was unsafe, so he decided that the Trojans would burn it.
  • But then, right before they were about to burn the horse, the gods interfered with there decision, and told them that they would punish Troy for the judgement of Paris. Since the gods were not pleased with the priests decision, they dragged the horse through the gates to their city to celebrate there victory. For hours they celebrated, drinking, feasting, etc.
  • Later that night, when Troy was peaceful and quiet, the belly of the horse opened. A band of soldiers came running out, opening the gates for there army that sailed back over the night. Then the Greeks started to kill all of the people that challenged them, and burned down Troy. The Greeks had finally won.
