King Acrisius first child was a baby girl named Danae. Despite how beautiful she was, Acrisius wanted a boy rather than a girl.
A prophecy tells King Acrisius "You shall never have a son. Furthermore, your daughter shall give birth to a son who shall take your life. " So, King Acrisius decides to shut Danae in a bronze house underground.
I am shutting you underground
Oh, father!
On the roof of the house that Danae stayed in, there was a small slit in the roof. One day, a shower of gold rained down her house and out came Zeus who declared his love for her. In a matter of a year, baby Perseus was born.
