Act 2 Scene 1 Banquo and his son Fleance walks to Macbeth's castle. From there, Macbeth and Banquo talks about the three witches but they decide to talk about them later.
After Banquo and Fleance leaves the scene, Macbeth sees a floating dagger which points the handle toward to his hand. Macbeth gets a signal from Lady Macbeth that the king is asleep and he decides to head to his chamber.
Act 2 Scene 2 Macbeth arrives at the kings chamber and kills Duncan.
After Macbeth killed Duncan, he finds Lady Macbeth but she notices that he forgot to leave the daggers in the kings chamber. Therefore, Lady Macbeth took them back so people would not get suspicious.
Act 2 Scene 3A comic relief is presented in the play when a drunk porter yells and makes noises. Despite the comic relief, Macduff comes rushing in informing everyone that the kings been murdered. With everyone in shock, Malcolm decides to go to England and Donalbain heads to Ireland
Act 2 Scene 4 Ross, a thane, talks with an old man. Then, Macduff comes up to them and tells the two that Malcolm and Donalbain has fled to England and Ireland which raises suspicion.
