Storyboard Text

  • This is the best place on the world !
  • He's a monster! He's ugly!
  • Once there was a beautiful family living in a beautiful castle. However, one daughter was too beautiful for her own good. Her name was Psyche. Psyche caught the attention of the goddess Aphrodite for being too beautiful so she was cursed.
  • Instead of trying to do something herself, Aphrodite sent her son Eros down to cut Psyche with one of his love arrows. Instead of making Psyche fall in love with someone else, Eros was cut and he fell in love with the young princess. Instead of finishing the job, Eros flew back to Mount Olympus.
  • "Wretched girl, you are not ready to accept love. Yes i am love itself and i cannot live where i am not believed"
  • When Psyche arrived at the great castle of Eros she was instantly in love. She would frolic around on the castle grounds with her dog while her husband was gone. Then her sisters came and was relieved that their sister wasn't eaten or hurt, at first. Then they started thinking Eros was a monster or an ugly old man sense he never showed his face. Psyche became very jealous and almost went mad.
  • Later that night, when Psyche knew that Eros was asleep and not invisible, she snuck into his room. She saw the young love god and all of his glory. While she leaned in to kiss him, a drop of hot oil fell on his chest.
  • Eros was in such a terrible rage that he flew away from Psyche and back to Mount Olympus. He wore a quiver of his silver darts even in his sleep so he had no need to return to the castle.
  • After that dreadful night, Psyche roamed the woods for many nights. There are multiple theories about what happened after that. Some say that Aphrodite turned her into an owl. Others believe that her husband finally forgave her and took her to Mount Olympus.
