After many long hours of sharping whale bones and rocks, Mafatu was able to make a working spear.
Uri, I have done it I made a hunting spear that works. No more fruits!
Mafatu and Uri then come across a wild boar. In Mafatu's tribe if you kill a wild boar you are considered very brave.
Uri! We have found a boar, but what should we do!
After building the courage Mafatu ended up killing the boar and made a necklace out of the boar's teeth. He also found and dragged a rock he found back to camp so he could rest on it and sit by the campfire.
Wow! Uri I can't believe we just killed that boar. Father will be so proud of me!
One night when Mafatu was sleeping he woke up to the thundering sound of drums.
OH no! This must be the eaters of men.
Mafatu took off into the jungle to hide until they passed and then he would run to his boat and sail back home to his tribe.
After many long weeks of sailing the vast ocean Mafatu finally made it back to his family and tribe.
Mafatu we are so glad you are back and safe
Nice necklace. I'm proud of it. I have much more respect for you.
