Storyboard Text

  • Objective: to demonstrate understanding of the stages of plot through a storyboard.
  • Welcome to School!
  • Good question!
  • Before your students show up, you need to have a well-written, and thoughtfully put together plan.
  • Step One: The Anticipatory Set. In what way will you activate their prior knowledge and experience to help them relate to today’s lesson?
  • You might be thinking to yourself, "well how on earth can I be sure that my plan is well-written, thoughtful, and purposeful?"
  • Do Now: In your journal, describe a time you went on an adventure.
  • Read on to find out about the most important components of every lesson plan.
  • Before you jump into Step One, make sure that you have decided what your end goals are for the unit of study. You'll be able to better plan how to get "there" if you have decided where you're going!
  • The Anticipatory Set is often what teachers refer to as the "do now."
