Jakob's lived in a town called Makow Mazowiecki, in two days ,the germans were in he's house, using the synagogue as a stable, destroying every jewish symbol that was in their way, after two weeks, they started moving via peasant cart to the mlawa ghetto.
Women and children were separated from men. They took the women directly to the gas chambers and afterward to the crematoria. Jakob's mom and sister were taken there and never returned.
After they were separated, man were taken worked hard and if they wouldn't working fast enough they would get punished and even staved to dead. On winter time was too cold that people were dying of cold. Jakob and his father ere taken to Auschwitz. They had tattoo number
They placed four people per bed, they worked from 5 am starting with a cup of coffee and piece of bread and ending the day at 7pm and a plate of soup
Jakob and his father started to dig water canal. Later on they were asked what there profession were and Jakob said he was a carpenter and his father said he was a bricklayer. That made them be spareted. Jakob was transfer to another camp and he had to leave his father behind.
He was sent to work on a railroad. One of the worse work job. Because of that he got sick and injured. He also got beaten very bad that he almost die. He stayed a psychiatric hospital to recover. Later of worked as spoon maker. His group was sent to transfer to another camp and on they way Americans found them.
