Hamlet's father (the king) has died in his sleep. His mother has married his father's brother, Claudius. meanwhile, Hamlet mourns his father's death.
Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, has requested to speak to Hamlet and lets Polonius hide behind the tapestry in case she needed protection. When Hamlet realises there is somebody behind the tapestry he thinks it is Claudius and stabs the tapestry, killing Polonius. Ophelia is turned mad by her father's death
Hamlet is sent to England and when he returns he witnesses a funeral which turns out to be Ophelia's after she drow. Heartbroken, he confesses of how he loved her dearly but is challenged by her brother, Laertes who says her death is alll
To buy himself time, Hamlet pretends to be mad which upsets Ophelia because now she believes that Hamlet doesn't love her. During this time, Hamlet devises a plan to have a show performed in front of the king which depicts his father's death and when Claudius shows signs of guilt, he shall expose him.
