The Romans crossed the seas to Northern Africa, then to a city of Carthage. The Carthage Empire eventually surrendered, but Rome was not satisfied.
For two years the Romans were unorganized, and the Carthaginians were able to defend their walls.
Scipio Aemilianus then came, properly organizing the Romans. Going into a field battle, and eventually breaking into the walls of the Carthaginians.
"The Romans won the third and final Punic War leaving the Carthaginian’s to sign a treaty giving Rome control and leaving Carthage with no military at all."
