  • After Great Britain took control of Palestine in July, 1922, after the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, waves of Jews poured in which angered the Arabs living there.
  • In WWII, the Nazis killed 6 million Jews in Europe with only 250,000 survivors after the Holocaust.
  • After WWII, hundreds of Jews moved to Palestine, believing it should be their own country.
  • The United Nations decided that the Jews should have a country of their own.
  • The United Nations voted to separate Palestine into Arab and Jewish states.
  • On May 14, 1948 the Jewish state of modern-day Israel was created.
  • The End
