If we don't do anything soon all coastal cities will be worse than this.
Wow it's really wet in this city!
Every coastal city in the U.S.A. has more floods in the 2010's than they did in the 1950's
Sea levels have risen 90mm in the last 25 years, this makes my beach jog hard
On earth we burn a lot of fossil fuels, this puts a lot of greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. When we have so much of these gasses our atmosphere does not keep enough of them out of the earth.
What happens when we have more heat?
Do you know why sea levels are getting higher
When there is more heat shining down on the oceans thermal expansion happens, this mean the water expands to get these new heat molecules thus rising sea levels. Also the more heat the more glaciers melt. If the glaciers aren't just floating ice they will melt and displace the water making sea levels rise.
Wow, as we can see, sea levels are rising and were part of the problem, if we don't stop emitting greenhouse gasses at a high rate our coastal cities are gonna be underwater.
