Storyboard Text

  • One of our first interactions with Sophie is her frightened message to Langdon. She is concerned for his safety and tries to warn him.
  • Do NOT react to this message. Just listen calmly. You are in danger right now. Follow my instructions very closely.
  • Sophie is confident in her deductions. She is not afraid to defy Fache.
  • I thought you might appreciate knowing that Jacques Saunière might be playing games with you. Apparently not.
  • We now learn that Sophie has an emotional familial tie with Jacques Saunière. This makes us sympathize with her.
  • Jacques Saunière was my grandfather.
  • Sophie has taken and continues to take control of the situation. She is determined to keep Langdon and herself alive and figure out her grandfather's message.
  • Congratulations. You just escaped from the Louvre.
  • Because we know Sophie is a strong character, what she has seen must be horrifying. It leads her to leave her home in anguish and vow never to speak to her grandfather again.
  • I was there. Don't try to find me.
  •
  • Sophie is convinced that the keystone--that Saunière gave it to her and the form it takes--is a message from Saunière that only Sophie can figure out. Saunière has given her puzzles like this before.
  • Think, Sophie! Use your head. Grand-père is trying to tell you something!
