  • For the education part the schools they were not put together very well. It was a one room school house and there was one untrained teacher for all grades. Undoubtedly, this is a very dangerous idea because every student learns differently especially if they are in different grades.
  • Willard's Troy was a college that was the first to accept women to attend their school in 1821. This college was named after a lady named Emma Willard who was a huge supporter of the women education.
  • Women were allowed to attend school in 1821. Their rights were very different then males. They were separated by color and their gender.
