  • The Slaves worked long, hard, and endless days on the Riley Plantation, and when they did not meet the 100 pound weight restriction of Cotton a day, Cat-o-nine Tails served as their punishments.
  • The sun is blisteringly hot from up above.
  • Mr. Sims
  • Liza

  • Follow The Drinking Gourd, For The Old Man That Is A-Waiting For To Carry You To Freedom.
  • Julilly: Have you ever heard of Canada Liza? We can escape from these quarters and we can run into the woods. From there, we should be free.
  • We can dream of Canada where the coloured and the blacks can live a peaceful life together.
  • Mr. Sims Cotton Plantation, Virginia.
  • Lake Erie/St. Catharines, Canada.
  • Well that was one heck of a ride on the Mayflower sailing the rough seas Liza. We have finally made it to Canada.
