Alan had never heard of Encryption before. He thought that maybe he should at least take a look.
Encryption? What's that?
Can you tell me, what is Encryption?
Well, encryption is the process of scrambling messages sent over a computer so that only the receiver can understand it.
Ah, ok. But why do we encrypt these messages?
Well, we do this to stop people we wouldn't want reading these messages, for example Hackers.
There are also different types of encryptions each with different strengths.
These include: WEP: This type of Encryption is rarely used anymore as it is easily cracked in minutes with todays technology. WPA: This was made to replace WEP, this encryption type is used more often than WEP but isn't the best encryption type and can still be cracked overtime. WPA2: This is the improved WPA and the strongest encryption type currently, most devices use this encryption type such as Routers in homes.
