  • This project is about the Alcohol Effects on the Nervous System
  • There are many side effects on the brain from drinking alcohol.
  • Alcohol Effects on the Nervous System
  • One effect is blackouts and memory lapses. This can cause memory loss and lead to bad decisions.
  • The Spinal Cord is the other part of the Nervous System that is effected by alcohol.
  • The alcohol will cause poor coordination and becomes drowsy. This can lead to physical injuries.
  • The Peripheral Nerves are the motor and sensory nerves throughout the body. 
  • An effect is heavy drinking can cause nerves to tighten and tie up. This can cause numbness in the legs and feet.
  • The brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves are all effected by the alcohol negatively.
