In a small home in Ireland...
I'm sick and tired of this! I try to keep a nice face on but I've had enough! First, they take away our right to vote. Then our right to go to school. Yes I know we are adults but we could still use an education! And now they are taking away our land. OUR LAND! Where will we go?
Calm down! You won't even let me speak! I was about to tell you that a friend of mine can sneak us onto a boat heading to the Americas! I told him yes because we can't live like this anymore!
America... Oh I can't wait! Let's go!
These conditions are terrible! How can anyone live like this?
I don't know sweetheart, but we can make it. Imagine how great our lives will be when we get to the Americas.
In New York...
One of my co-workers who was an immigrant aswell died today on the job! I am exhausted after today and I need the bed I've been a nice guy for the past week but now I need the bed!
Muriel O'Connor! I am sick of this! We have one bed! That means we have to share!
Outside, after the argument...
Let's just go...
Hey, why don't you dance a jig and I won't steal your pot of gold? If not, then go home to Ireland!
