  • Aeolus & Laestrygones
  • Here is some wind to assist you on your journey.
  • Circe The Witch
  • Only if you go to the Land of the Dead.
  • Turn them back!
  • The Land of the Dead
  • You shall come home to find your own house filled with trouble.
  • Aeolus gifted Odysseus two different bags of wind after he stayed with him for a month. The winds back-fire and they land on his island a second time. After he refuses to help them out again they land on Laestrygones, an island of cannibals.
  • Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
  • I need to resist!
  • Odysseus and his men landed on the island inhabited by the goddess Circe and his men were turned into pigs by her and Odysseus was alerted of it by Eurylochus and eventually force her to turn the men. After a year of being trapped there Circe allows them to earn their way off the island by going to the Land of the Dead and hear his prophecy.
  • Thrinacia
  • I’m so hungry.
  • At Erebus, Odysseus talked to Elpenor who wanted a funeral for himself. The prince of Thebes also talks to him and tells him what is to come in his future based on the choices he will make. While he is there his mother tells him what is happening at home and he speaks to other people who died.
  • Calypso's Island
  • Sail away with the raft I gave you!
  • Give him a raft.
  •  Lady Circe gives advice to Odysseus.He and his men had to sail pass some areas to reach their destination.  They faced the Siren, Scylla, and Charybdis. They were able to successfully pass the area with the Sirens by putting ear wax in their ears. Next they faced Scylla, in which she took some crew members from the boat. Lastly, they passed by Charybdis, but they made it out alive as well.
  • Then they go to Thrinacia where Odysseus warns his men to not eat Helios’ cattle. His crew disobey him and eat the cattle because they were hungry. This upsets the sun god and threatens to not shine anymore so Zeus casts a lightning bolt to sink Odysseus’ ship and only he survives and drifts to Ogygia and is kept there for 7 years.
  •  Odysseus has been held captive by Calypso, a  goddess ,on her island. Zeus sends Hermes to tell Calypso to release him and to build a raft for him sail away. He must sail for 20 days before he arrives to his next destination.
