Exposition: The house's automatic alarm clock chimes out that it's 7 o'clock, but nobody wakes up. The house seems empty.

Rising Action: On the west side of the house, there is a scene of kids playing and parents doing yard work, outlined in white, while the rest of the wall is charred black in the ghost town.
Rising Action: The family dog comes to the front door and whimpers. The dog is automatically let in, but nobody is there to greet him, so he passes away. Robot mice clean his remains.

Rising Action: The house catches on fire. The house sets off fire prevention systems, but is unable to contain the fire.

Climax: The house burns to the ground, and is left as a steaming pile of rubble. It was the last house, and now it's gone.

Falling Action/Resolution: The only part of the house left standing is the west wall, and a voice recited over and over, "Today is August 5, 2026."
Main Characters: The House - Round, Static - Oblivious to lack of humans, paranoid, cheerful, ultimately unable to protect self Fire - Flat, Static - Ravenous, doesn't care about the house or its once-inhabidents
Symbolism: Fire: Nature. It will go on without us. The House: Technology. It ultimately cannot protect us or itself from nature The Shadows: Humans, and their impact. Even if we destroy each other in a brutal war, nature will go on without us, and barely even remember us.
Theme: Nature doesn't care about people. It will just keep going.
