  • Title Of Novel: The Westing Game Character`s Name: Turtle Wexler Turtle is a teenager who is often in her sisters footsteps. Turtle's mother treats her poorly and Turtle is judged by her appearances.  "The third bedroom was a trifle small, but it would do just fine for Turtle" (Raskin 3). 
  • Charcter Trait In The Beginning

  • Physical Description: Turtle has burrnet hair that is always in braids. She has pale skin and dark brown eyes. Her mother treats her like trash so is always upset. Text evidence: " Mrs. Wexler always seemed surprised to see her other daughter , so unlike golden hair, angle faced Angela" (Raskin 10). Bacially turtle is angry all do to her mother!
  • Character Trait  In The Middle
  •  Strong:  She is very smart. She gathers clues the others can't even think to put together!  Turtle was the first one to figure out Sandy and Sam were the same people.    Evidence: "But Samuel Westing did not drink you say, Neither did Sandy. I used his  Flask  Halloween and there was a funny aftertaste in my pop, but not of whiskey, I know how the whiskey tastes because I used it for toothaches. It was medicine. Sandy was a sick man and the mask was part of his disguise, but it also kept the medicine that kept him alive" ( Raskin  168).  Turtle put all the clues together.
  • Character Trait In The End
  • Beginning: turtle is always angry or kicking things thanks to her mom this is how she is. Evidence: " She kicked the bed, kicked the chair, kicked the desk, and elbowed past the disapproving security"( Raskin 56).  Explain: She kicks anyone if they touch her braids, and kicks or punches chairs. Her feelings are...anger!

  • Character in the middle: The reader begins to notice Turtle is clever and smarter than the others. She is more about winning the Westing Game rather than what people think of her. Evidence: " Turtle did not just look like her Uncle Sam she acted like him" ( raskin 159).  Explain: The author tells you Uncle Sam was smart and so was turtle.

  • Charcter trait in the End: Turtle is confident in her solve, she loves her self, and most importantly she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. Text Evidence: " Besides, you always said being pretty wasn`t important, its who you really are that counts" (Raskin 99).  Sum it all up: Turtle does not care what anyone thinks especially her mom. 
  • I dont care what you say, I love myself!
  • You careless brat, why cant you be like you sister?!
