  • On the 22nd of January 1905, the Orthodox priest, Gregory Gapon lead about 200,000 people to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg.
  • Being peasant in Russia was really hard. They lived in a poor environment, and they had to work with low incomes.  In 1905, they decided to do a petition and wanted 2 things: Firstly the wanted to reduce the work hours to 8 hours a day, and secondly they wanted to provide a minimum wage of a rouble a day. 
  • I am helping the peasants doing this petition because we think we are not treated fair enough!
  • YESS!
  • STOP!!
  • The protestants kept on going, so the troops started shooting them. 
  • There were about 200 people dead, and 800 people were wounded. 
  • The 22nd of January 1905 the soldiers burned all the dead people secretly.
