  • Mr. History
  • Hello Class, we will learn about the fall of Axum Today. I purposefully brought you after Axum fell to investigate how it fell.
  • Axum was an African kingdom that grew on trade. Let's piece together how it fell.
  • What's an Axum? How did it fall?
  • Good Job! We know the approximate date of the collape of Axum.
  • Mr. History, I found coins that stop at 630 AD!
  • We have no evidence that it was taken over by an invading army.
  • Was Axum taken over by an invading army? Why else would it be abandonded?
  • Did Axum suffer from economic trobles?
  • Yes, Arab traders in the 7th century created competition for Axum. This may have driven people out of the empire. Another theory is that the size of the empire caused its resources to not be sustanable. It may have fallen from its massive size, similar to the Roman empire.
  • Lets go, class! Back to our own time!
  • I heard that the Lost But Not Forgotten Musium has a great exibit on Axum.
  • THE END!
