  • Hey, we should go to the beach this weekend, it will be fun.
  • Wow its really hot, we should be safe and put on sunscreen!
  • Who wears sunscreen?
  • Good idea, skin cancer is not something to be taken lightly, there are over 3.5 million cases every year.
  • We don't need sunscreen, and when we take our clothes off, we shouldn't be afraid of something like skin cancer.
  • This will be so fun, we should only be out for a little though, we don't want too much UV exposure.
  • Skin cancer can affect anyone, including these six friends.
  • Guys I've had some weird things happen to my skin.
  • Glad we were safe, I'd hate to skin cancer.
  • Yeah same, I have a doctor's appointment scheduled, my mom says it could be bad.
  • There are three different kinds of skin cancer; basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma.
  • Oh no, the survival rate is only 78%!
  • Young man, I'm sorry to say you are being diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma, a form of skin cancer.
  • Skin cancer can occur from amount of UV exposure, chemicals, radiation, or smoking.
  • My best advice is to be aware of skin cancer. It is not a joke and affects anyone. It is life changing and males are 2x likely to get it. Always avoid the sun from 10-4 pm and wear sunscreen and seek shade.
  • Other uncontrollable risk factors include having fair skin, being older, or having a weak immune system.
  • Depending on how severe the skin cancer, survival rates go from 16%-98%.
  • Skin cancer can cause a family stress, anxiety, and fear, which is hard to deal with, changing their daily lifestyle.
