Storyboard Text

  • What are bytes? What types are there?
  • There are many types of bytes: kilo, mega, giga, tera, peta and exabytes.
  • Bytes: a group of binary digits or bits (usually eight) operated on as a unit. -a byte considered as a unit of memory size.
  • A kilobyte (KB) is about 1,000 bytes, hence the "kilo".
  • You can actually think of the rest like that as well: megabytes (MB) = 1 million bytes gigabytes (GB) = 1 billion bytes, ect.
  • That was pretty much it. Just know that every thing you see, an image, and anything that can hold files are made up of bytes.
