Siddhartha decides to leave Govinda and the Buddhists behind to embark on his own journey
Siddhartha begins his life anew in the town with Kamala and Kamaswami

Although Siddhartha is rich and has anything he could want, he is detached and his spirit is not being fulfilled by his current life
Kamala finds Siddhartha and gives him his spoiled eleven year old son before she dies. Siddhartha raises his son with love and is heartbroken when he runs away. He wants to find him and bring him back but realizes that it is all part of the journey.
Siddhartha reaches enlightenment and vasudeva leaves to go on his own way. Siddhartha then becomes the ferryman, showing the unity and coincidence of life.
