???? Why are we stopping here hooman ???? There are no farmhouses near this is a strange stop ???? Hooman you're weird.
Ring!!! Ring!!! is there some mistake.
He is probably stopping by the woods because he is on a nice walk in the woods.
A-attitude/tone & S-shifts
he is riding with his horse and then he stopped to look at the snow in the woods, his horse was confused. He then continues on with his trip after he said he had a promise.
Personification: The horse asking if there is a mistake, the horse thought it was a strange stop. "My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near..." "He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake." The bells, downy flakes, and the snow filling up the woods are also imagery.
Attitude/ tone- The speaker is in peace and solitude throughout stanzas 1-3. He was appreciating the snowy woods. Then for the fourth stanza the tone turns into determination. Leading me to the Shift. Shift- The key word was But, on line 14. "But have promises to keep" it is like he snapped out of daydreaming or admiring the untouched snow and he is continuing his journey.
The title has a different meaning now after understanding what the poem is about. It has something to do with his life. It is like where he is in life right now.
The theme of this poem is that he has to keep going on his journey. To keep going in life.
