"Common Sense" 1775-1776
The Boston Tea Party was a protest led by Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty against the Tea Act. They believed that the Tea Act was "taxation without representation", so they dumped chests of tea into the Boston Harbor as protest against the rule.
