The main power of the legislative branch is to create laws. Other powers are: -declare war -confirming presidential appointments -and investigating power
The roles of the Legislative Branch is the House of Representatives and the Senate. There are 435 representatives in the house, there are 100 senate members.
To become part of the Legislative Branch you have to be at least 30 years old, must be a U.S. citizen for 9 years, and have to be a resident from the state you are elected.
