  • Antigone, knowing her brother, Polyneices, is left to rot, will not bow to mans law.
  • Rest his soul.
  • Ismene, I am going to bury him. Will you come? Pg. 816
  • No! Don't go! This is madness!!
  • King Creon announces death to anyone who defies the laws, and to the one who shall bury Polyneices.
  • You will give no support to whoever breaks this law. pg. 820
  • Someone must follow god, not mankind!
  • More justice is still needed.
  • No, you are right. I will not kill the one whose hands are clean. pg. 844
  • Ismene is declared innocent and freed from death, however, Antigone's fate still remains.
  • Shall we punish Ismene? She did not help in the matter.
  • Yes. Save yourself. I shall not envy you. There are those who praise you; I shall have honor, too. pg. 844
  • King Creon and Antigone finally meet.. Antigone remains unbound.
  • You have disturbed the law, and it shall not go unpunished.
  • Haimon, Creon's son, is determined to sway his father from this cruelty. Or he will take his life to join his bride.
  • Father! If you do not bow, I will join Antigone and marry her in death!
  • Laws will remain, she will die on her own accord! You will abide to this!
