  • You do not have as much power as you think you do Charles.
  • I have the right to rule, God said so!
  • You Round head! You are done!
  • Not today cavalier. You are making a big mistake.
  • Parliament did not want to give Charles I the power he wanted. Charles believed in divine right of kings.Parliament did not , God gave them their right of power. 
  • We have been waiting for so long!
  • The Cavaliers and Round Heads are in a civil war, over a position of power. There was not a lot of death in this civil war.
  • Yes, we accept this throne

  • King Charles was beheaded. Monarchy was abolished and common wealth was set up. (Similar to a republic)
  • Oliver Cromwell was victorious against the cavaliers . Cromwell soon sets up a military dictatorship.
  • English nobles convince William of Orange and Mary to invade and take over England, Scotland, and Ireland.
  • The revolution was won with almost no blood shed. Monarchy and parliament ruled together and destroyed the theory of Devine Right of Kings.
