But gravity seems to be the only thing that's pulling me
Actually, even if gravity might be pulling you, it's definitely not the only force acting on you right now. While gravity is pulling you toward Earth, there is also an opposite reaction, and the floor is pushing upward on each and every person here. Gravity is also the thing keeping the Earth in orbit around the sun, so that's why we can feel the sun's warmth at different times of the year since the Earth is spinning.
I love Slide It In by Whitesnake! but actually in your case, it would be Slide It ON because of the rolling friction acting on your skateboard. The friction between the wheels and the concrete is what helps you stop your board. Without it, your board would keep going forever!!

I feel like we're drifting, maybe we should take a break from each other.
Of course you would be pulled back! After the elastic rubber band is stretched out, it returns back to its original form, which is closer together, and when it does this it exerts elastic force.
3 seconds later...
I don't know why, but it seems like every time I pull away, I just spring back towards you again. It's probably just this elastic force though, considering we have a rubber band around our waists.
I really feel a connection between us, and it's not just the magnetic force.
green magnet (+)
No, I think it is the magnetic force...
purple magnet (-)
But think about it Starkeisha, I am positive, and you are negative (literally). I am green, and you are purple. Opposites attract. Besides the science part of it all, I think I see a future for us. Do you?
No, I have a boyfriend sorry, but you're good at science.
