The clowns decided to go into the forest so they could rehearse their play. The play that will be performed in front of a large group of nobles.
I fear that the ladies will not handle the part where Pyramus kills himself.
I believe we should leave all the killing out of the play.
I object. Write me a prologue that I will recite before the play starts, explaining that we will not be using our real swords and that Pyramus is not truly dead. To make it more clear, we will tell them that I am Pyramus, when in fact I am not. I, Bottom will keep them from being afraid!
Make the prologue have more syllables. Make it eight and eight.
Won't the ladies be afraid of the lion as well?
The clowns continued to discuss their thoughts on the play and the reactions of the ladies. A few moments later, Puck entered the scene and Bottom stepped aside.
