  • THE TALE OF RUSH SHAH
  • Once upon a time -- well, in the 1850s -- there was a sad state named Rush Shah.
  • Serfdom
  • social unrest
  • political issues
  • industrial backwardness
  • Rush Shah wasn't modernized like all the other cool countries. Rush Shah was still weighed down by many issues that the other countries were past, like serfdom.
  • WE DON'T LIKE SERFDOM!
  • BUT I RELY ON IT...
  • Things got even worse for Rush Shah when Brit Tin, Frank, and Otto defeated him in the Crimean War, a fight about a balance of power and competition.
  • Rush Shah needed CHANGE.
  • spare change
  • In 1855, someone came to the rescue. Alec Sander II brought revolutionary reforms to Rush Shah, suddenly boosting social progress and modernization. He got rid of serfdom and introduced the zemstvo, a government institute that was a step towards constitutional monarchy.
