Storyboard Text

  • Abraham was born Abram, son of Terah, in 1996BC with very humble beginnings.
  • I am proud to have you as a son Abram
  • We are leaving Ur and moving to Haran.
  • Later in his life, Abram moved to Haran with his family and there he married Sarai.
  • At the age of 75, Abram got a call from God. Abram, Sarai and his nephew, Lot, moved taking his possessions with him.
  • God has told me to leave my family and home behind. We are following God to a strange land that he will later give me.
  • Good luck, be safe!
  • This is where we shall settle, in the land of Canaan. God has promised me that my descendants shall inherit the Canaanite land after me. 
  • God made his promise to Abraham.
  • Then I shall choose the hills to the east.
  • Abram and Lot had a dispute over the grazing land for there herds. Breaking from tradition Abram let the younger Lot choose first.
  • I shall choose the fertile plain to the east that includes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
  • Lot moved to Sodom were he was kidnapped by a local tribe.  Abram who had become rich and wealthy pursued Lot's kidnappers, regained Lot and his possessions. God affirmed his promise again.
  • My men and I have come to save you from your kidnappers.
